About lookpicking
The general idea is to take lockpicking to web forms. Now what does this mean in detail? Lockpicking is generally known as the art of opening any lock without the original key (as well as force).
Now replace the key with a search form. Normally that is what's needed to 'unlock' the search results page, so to speak.
So what if you had something that resembled the original search form, so that it would allow you to enter the results page directly? Something like a lockpick? This would get you some interesting advantages: you could avoid going to every single search form and looking at all the excess information there (including ads), instead accessing everything from a keychain-like place that holds all your, well, lookpicks.
You would become independent from any particular search engine, changing your default search engines (once they've turned evil) without having to change your habits. But there's more: you could search for driving directions or translations, inside wikipedia, and so on. And you could add any search form you wanted, and start using ones that others have added, efficiently collaborating to create the world's biggest meta-lookpick!
